In the world of football, the Heidi game will forever live in infamy as NBC made the dubious decision to stop coverage of a Oakland Raiders-New York Jets game for a pre-scheduled showing of Heidi. The Raiders scored 14 points in the last 65 seconds to win the game, while millions of viewers were stuck watching Heidi frolic in the hills.

Although they actually play in New Jersey, it didn’t really matter where this game was played as the Cowboys didn’t put up much resistance to the defending champion New York Giants who rolled over a hapless Dallas team 35-14.

I can’t even begin to describe how disgusted I am with the way the Buffalo Bills have played over the past two games. They say it’s always easier to coach from the couch, but I can assure you if someone paid me $250k per year to coach I’d like to think I would be aware enough to make the simple adjustments to win games.
