Fantasy Football Weekly Recap - Week 9

In the world of football, the Heidi game will forever live in infamy as NBC made the dubious decision to stop coverage of a Oakland Raiders-New York Jets game for a pre-scheduled showing of Heidi. The Raiders scored 14 points in the last 65 seconds to win the game, while millions of viewers were stuck watching Heidi frolic in the hills.

Giants Lay a Beat Down on the Cowboys 35-14

Although they actually play in New Jersey, it didn’t really matter where this game was played as the Cowboys didn’t put up much resistance to the defending champion New York Giants who rolled over a hapless Dallas team 35-14.

Sunday Evening Spongebath: Born losers, Cedric Benson, the homeless, and the return of Crazy Fish Guy

The Sunday Evening Spongebath is a collection of random observations, notes, complaints, and joy-filled remembrances from a Sunday in the NFL.   What the Lions did yesterday was the textbook definition of finding a way to lose. After they scored their first touchdown, Jason Hanson came on for the extra point, and understandably, scoring a touchdown before the other team had three might have frightened and confused anyone

Jets Outlast Bills 26-17 in Buffalo

In the AFC East things are different this year, as the general belief is that the division is up for grabs after Tom Brady’s season ending injury. It’s for that reason that divisional match-ups are so important, which is why the Jets victory on the road over the Buffalo Bills was such an important win.

The Bills lose again and may fall out of 1st place in the AFC East.

I can’t even begin to describe how disgusted I am with the way the Buffalo Bills have played over the past two games. They say it’s always easier to coach from the couch, but I can assure you if someone paid me $250k per year to coach I’d like to think I would be aware enough to make the simple adjustments to win games. That didn’t happen today at all

5 Questions for Week 10

1. What’s Up With the Jaguars? “The engine ain’t runnin’ right,” Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson told the Florida Times-Union’s Mike Wright  after Sunday’s humiliating loss to the previously winless Bengals.

Cowboys-Giants Inactives

Every Result A Surprise

At 3:30 in the East on this Sunday, we have the Jets up 13 on the Bills, Detroit up 3 on the Bears, the Bengals up 8 on the Jags, Cleveland up 7 on Baltimore, KC up 11 on Tampa, Minnesota up 7 on Houston (I guess that’s not a surprise), Arizona up 24 on St. Louis and Tennessee up just 3 on the Packers (although I like GB to pull that one out).

NFL Week 9 Predictions

November 2, 2008 Week 9 This NFL season has continued to be hard to predict, and like a jackass that is what I am about to do! New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills This is a game where Brett Favre could remind us all just why he should stay in the NFL, it could also very well be a game where we wouldn’t mind him retiring mid-season. The bills are coming off a losing effort, I see them bouncing back. Bills 21 Jets 17 Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears The Lions just signed Culpepper which should give them a great one-two punch with him throwing to Calvin Johnson, which should be similar to the Culpepper/Moss connection with the Vikings
